The Back Deck "Oasis"
For our first post, I thought we'd share our backyard. This was a long time in the making. When searching for our first house, some sort of backyard space was a must. We opted with a townhouse with a decent sized deck. With the first summer underway, I was stuck studying for my CPA license. We spent time out there, but with more time than not spent studying, it meant no major projects. We decided to get the basics. An outdoor table and chairs set from Lowes, two gravity chairs for the days we were able to relax, and the grill. Nothing else was touched and we set it up in the basic way which everyone else in the neighborhood did.
Once Summer 2015 came around, I knew I wanted to get the back done. I began with the rock garden outback. We spent time deciding on the shape until we thought it looked perfect.
We also added a solar powered rope light to the outer edge, but pictures don't do it much justice.
After a couple projects which I will be going over in time, we finally got the deck, and the area behind, completely finished!!
